A Sangha is a community of wisdom flowing, allowing the speed, violence and unwholesome ways of living to flow through us with loving kindness, compassion, understanding. Our society is our self. Mindfulness is to protect ourselves and others. A good Sangha will support each other through selflessness and harmonious diversity. The substance of the practice is most important. The forms are empty.

Here's what I've heard. We begin in our practice of love by sitting with ourselves and learning sympathy for who we are. As we learn to love and respect ourselves in a genuine way, our practice naturally extends to the people around us, and to the sangha, or sanghas, we participate in. As we practice listening, talking, trusting and being genuine with this community of people who share our path, our relationship to the world at large can only improve. Practice for practice for practice until we recognize all living beings everywhere as our sangha, and then, how does it go? "Apparent phenomenon are all the books one needs."
