Hidden Heart of the Cosmos by Brian Swimme

I just read this book and I feel like my perceptual experience is changed on some fundamental level. It deepened my awe of the Buddha's enlightenment. Anicca, arising and passing away, formlessness are all explained from a cosmological viewpoint that is easily absorbable and directly relatable to our meditation process. Very cool, ja.

Synchronicity

Well, I am always on the look out for coincidence, synchronicity and Signs. I love the way they make me feel special and a part of some grand design. When I get that reminder I try harder, do better and don't worry as much.
So, as of yesterday I had never read anything about the new cosmology or even heard about it in any significant way that I can remember. I popped by my friends house to pick something up and started telling him about the great book experience I had just had. He pointed at the book on his table. Its title was ' The View from the Center of the Universe, discovering our extraordinary place in the cosmos by J. Primack and N Abrams. Exactly the subject that I had just been reading about. Except this was a more scientific and less experiential type read. So, even though he wasn't finished with it I borrowed it (only for today) and am getting a solid little crash course in the new cosmology. Om
