As of tonight there will be no official sit here in fernie, how ever.... I will be in search of willing group meditation partisipants, and maby have a sit in some ones home. It's my hope that some how enough interest grows that it will take on it's own life. plese keep us here in fernie in mind, we could use any help or guidence to get us a better start.

 Last night was the first Fernie sit, that devo and I organized, funny thing happened , it was only devo and I who showed up, so it went really well no stress, no jitters. Just a loving kindness meditation, (my fave). How ever the night would not have been complete with out some good old fashioned mind expanding conversations with others, so we brought ourselves to some near perfect strangers house and had many interesting conversations about alot, including meditation. In the process I discovered that though no one showed up, we could still make a night of it.

Hey let me know of any meditation groups you may know of that are in the South East Kootenays, or any kind of dharma type of event. I can check it out and add it to the map.

My friend and I traveled from Fernie BC to check out the Noah talks, and we became inspired enough to start a DIY dharma group when we return home. Though I realize that all we need to do when we go home is to just simply practice what we have learned. I'd like to put Ferni on the diy map so that others can find our group easy. Any advice is welcome. I don't know if I am capable of leading a group through a session but I may need to learn if any other newbies like me become interested. Thank you all for making us feel welcome and I hope to share what I learned.
