Finding Hidden Treasure: Trauma, Troubling Emotion, And The Road From  Agony To Enlightenment—Michael Gordon.

Psychotherapist, writer and lecturer Michael Gordon discusses the  interrelationship between trauma, stress and habitual emotional triggers and behavior. Most importantly, Michael’s talk will focus on practical ways we can work directly with our emotions in our daily lives on the path towards spiritual liberation. This talk endeavors to be lively and interactive, and will draw on common ground between psychotherapy and mindfulness awareness practice.

Michael is Executive Director of www.mindfulyou.com, and is a Vancouver-based Psychotherapist specializing in trauma, abuse and addiction recovery from a psycho-physiological self-healing approach. The former Editor of Shared Vision Magazine, he is also a teacher of Aikido, an Art of mind/body coordination. Michael is writing his first book, and embarking on research for a post-graduate thesis in Consciousness and Transpersonal Psychology.
